A Place Where Your Family Can Find Their Place In God's Family |
||||
It's as easy as ABC!
Is this it? Do we just exist on this planet for awhile & then die; never to know anything else again? Based on the way so many people live their lives today, you would think that’s the case! We are a globe full of people mainly concerned for our own needs; and not too concerned about the near or distant future. The Bible very plainly tells us we have more ahead even after we leave this Earth. Hebrews 9:27 says, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” If you are reading this, “this means YOU!” Everyone who has ever lived will follow this course. What is the purpose of this judgment? Romans 14:10&12 says, “…we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ…so then everyone shall give account of himself to God.” Before eternity can begin, you and I have an appointment with God to review our lives and all of the words and actions we’ve done. Sound a little intimidating? How about VERY intimidating! More than standing before a king, a civic leader, or even the President, we will all stand before the Creator of the world, the ruler of the universe, and face the record of our life! But, before you completely freak out, I’d like to tell you why and how you can make that moment a great one; and one that you don’t have to fear.
Yes, on this day God will judge the world and then send them to their final eternal destination. Those who have accepted Christ as Savior will go to Heaven and those who haven’t will be sent to Hell. Pretty simple. Throughout the ages of time mankind has always had this choice to make, Heaven or Hell. Many, many years ago Joshua grew tired of watching the fickleness of his own people. They constantly would change their mind whether or not to fully serve God; the One who had clothed, fed, housed, protected and met every need of theirs and their ancestors; or serve a man-made lifeless god that was the raging, popular “fad” of the day. Joshua stepped out in Joshua 24:15, after taking and hearing all he could stand and said, “…choose you this day whom ye will serve;… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Thankfully, they caught Joshua’s passion and in verse 24 they proclaim, “the Lord our God will we serve, and His voice will we obey.” If you haven’t already made this choice, I hope you will today.
You see, it’s up to you to decide where you will spend your eternal life after death. To go to Hell, you simply do nothing. Don’t accept Christ as your Savior, don’t go to church, don’t read His Word, just don’t. Just keep living exactly as you are now, and that’s what will happen in the end. Trust me. However, Hell is no place you want to go to! Contrary to what some may think, it will not be one big party! Jesus described Hell in Mark 9:44 as a place, “Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.” He also said in Matthew 8:12 that there is outer, or complete darkness ( not even a hint of light), and weeping and gnashing of teeth. Not my idea of a good time! All of this can be yours for doing absolutely nothing!
Heaven, however, is a much, much better choice! All of the scripture I could share with you today still can’t totally reveal the beauty and peace it will hold! John recorded his vision of Heaven in Revelation 21. He wrote, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb (Jesus) is the light thereof; And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day; for there shall be no night there; And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth…but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Friend, having your name in this book is what removes the fear of standing before God on that day, and is what assures you of a home in Heaven. How can you be saved and have this happen for you right now? It’s as simple as ABC!
A= ADMIT
Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God.” Everyone is born into sin, and everyone has
sinned in their life. What we have to admit before we can be saved is that we
are a sinner, and stand before God guilty of things we are ashamed of. We don’t
want to live in sin any longer!
B=BELIEVE
John 1:12 says, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” Once you
acknowledge your need for Christ, you simply need to believe in Him ; that He
exists, that He loves you and that He and only He can free you from the guilt
and sin you carry. This belief is what will fuel your walk with Him and is what
makes you a child of His!!
C=CONFESS
ROMANS 10:9&10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Here is where you seal the deal. Just open your heart to God
and tell Him you’re sorry for all you have done, and ask Him to come into your
heart and life and forgive you of your sins. Guess what? He will!
If you have followed these steps, you are now my brother or sister in Christ! We celebrate your decision to serve God and make Heaven your home someday! We also want you to assist you in getting started on your walk with the Lord any way we can. Press the e-mail button below and tell us all about your decision! If you need a Bible, we would be glad to send you one.
You have received the world’s greatest gift and are now a part of the world’s biggest family!
God Bless You!
